I love a good face mask, especially clay ones since my complexion is on the shiny side. Usually after a face mask, I feel like I've done something good for my skin, but I normally don't see instant results. After using this clay mask, I was amazed at how even my complexion was and how soft my face was. I have a super uneven skin tone and would never go bare-faced without foundation or at least powder, but after wearing this for 20 minutes, I couldn't believe how good my skin looked!I really liked the bluish gray color of the clay, and it also felt smooth and went on easily and evenly. A lot of clay masks feel scratchy and tight when they begin to dry, but this one didn't. It was very relaxing wearing it, and it also washed off very easily. As I was washing it off, I inadvertently felt my cheek and thought how soft it was.I was unaware what kaolin was, and learned that it detoxifies pores, absorbs excess oil, and exfoliates. It sure did all of those things! This mask also contains mandelic acid, which improves skin tone, which I saw after just one use. There's also many other skin-loving ingredients and it's cruelty-free.The jar is small, but such a small amount is needed that the jar will last a good long time. I love the results I got after just one use and I look forward to using it regularly to keep my normally uneven, oily skin looking clear and matte even without makeup
Wonderful clay mask. I use this to do the 50 shades of snail pore cleansing method and it works great for that. It’s a great mask and the ingredient list has some stellar ingredients! It’s very smooth and can be applied in a nice thin layer. Dries well without getting to hard and cracking and doesn’t make your skin feel tight at all. I appreciate the tamper evident seal and obvious expiration date. $5 for a nice size tub, seriously such a good deal. I would definitely recommend it.
I ordered this for my wife. At the time of order this tub was $6.99 which has now been repriced at only $2.99! This arrived with no official product box, the tub was sealed with cellophane. My wife unscrewed the lid and found that the clay was sealed inside the tub also, as shown in my picture. She said that the consistency was not too thick and glided on her cleansed face easily. The directions stated to put this on evenly and leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes then rinse it off with warm water. Her face felt soft and refreshed afterwards. With only one use she hardly used any product and she feels this tub will last a long while. The directions state that this can be used 1-2 times weekly. This is not the best clay mask she has tried but for the price this is a really good purchase. In conclusion my wife is impressed with the amount that you get in this small tub for the price especially when you compare this to the packets of face masks that are sold in the grocery store. This would also make a great stocking filler for Christmas!
I've only recently in my life (50+ years) started having a skincare routine. I've been having fun trying new products and enjoying some at-home spa experiences. I've had clay masks a couple of times at an actual spa, but never tried one at home. So when I saw this product, I couldn't wait to give it a try. This is a very lightweight clay. I prefer to spread masks on with a silicone "brush" both to avoid contamination as well as just getting a more smooth and even application. I used a brush I have from a different product to apply this mask. The mask is thick enough that it doesn't drip but it is loose enough that you can pour it. As it dries, it only has a very small amount of tightening on my face. The scent is lightly coconut as described, with just a slight earthy undertone. With masks like this, sometimes getting it off once dried is a project. I have almost no problem getting this off with just gentle wiping with my hands dipped in a bowl of warm water, but it is even quicker if I use a make-up sponge. I estimate I only needed about the size of two cough drops to cover my whole face. The best part is how nice my face feels afterwards. It doesn't feel stripped or tight. Instead it feels clean but hydrated. It has not caused any irritation or reaction. At a price point of $7 USD at the time I ordered this, I thought it was a good price. At the time of this review, the price is now less than half that. The jar is pretty small, but I bet I could get at least a few dozen applications from this tiny jar. I've already added this to my shopping list so I'll be ready to reorder it when I run low.
The texture is good but I felt my skin so dry after use. Need to apply a very good moisturizer after using the mask.
At the amazing price point this product is sold at, I didn't expect a whole lot from it and was pleasantly surprised. It smooths on easily and uniformly and stays put without dripping. As it dried, I could actually see where my pores were - it looked like it was actually drawing oil out of the pores. My skin felt clean and smooth after the mask.It is not easy to wash off. The first time I used it, I left it on to dry for about 20-25 minute which is longer than the directions recommend, and I really had to scrub with a wash towel to get it off. Especially around my hairline, eye browns and creases. The second time I used it I left it on for 12 minutes, which is in between the 10-15 minute recommended time. It was still difficult to remove around those areas, but I had done it just before getting in the shower and was able to remove the remainder easily under the running water. So I'd recommend using this product before getting in the shower and just rinsing it off in there. The scent is slightly coconutty. I really do not enjoy tropical scents (like sun tan oil), but this didn't quite reach that level of coconut smell so was not unenjoyable.
Unexpectedly super nice clay mask!
Smells really nice and applies really easily. It looks like it might actually draw oil like it advertised, which k was skeptical about. Overall I’m happy o got it.
